What is Success and How Do We Achieve It?

To be clear about what success is must be the first step to achieving success.

So far, the best definition I have come across is: “Success is the completion of anything intended.” In other words success is finishing what you planned to do.

Even sitting in a bean bag eating orange cheesy poofs is a kind of success if that is what you wished to do. However, you probably will not achieve much more than orange colored and awkward flavored hands.

The above definition of success shines a light on failure and success. Make a plan and follow it and you will have succeeded. Make a plan and do not follow it and you will have failed.

This gives a yard stick for judging every day of our lives. We can say at the end of the day “I have failed” or “I have succeeded.”

This may seem very obvious but it is amazing that only about 85% of the human race end up doing what they intended.

I asked several people what they thought success was. One person said that “Success is making loads of money.” Another said that success is “Achieving your goals”. Some one else said that success is “Fulfilling your potential”. An interesting answer was that success is “Making others jealous”.

Brian Tracy agrees with the connection between success and goals. He has said “Success is goals, and all else is commentary.” Tracy believes that people with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them.

Stuart Goldsmith in “The Midas Method” has an important section on how to set goals so that they are achieved using the full power of the subconscious mind.

Maria Nemeth gives this definition of success: “Doing what you said you would do, with ease”.

“Doing what you said you would do” is currently not achieved by the majority of the human race especially politicians! Doing it with ease is achieved by even fewer and requires making the most of the subconscious mind.

Jim Rohn argues that success is just a few simple disciplines practised daily.

The power of daily discipline is HUGE. Because the discipline is practised daily the effect is cumulative. The good practice is carried out 365 times a year with, perhaps, a few lapses.

It cannot fail to have tremendous influence. Once the discipline becomes a daily habit, it can be forgotten about until the rewards start coming in.

The writer who writes every day has written well over 300 pages by the end of the year. If he or she does not write every day they lose momentum and inspiration. If they keep up the writing (even just a few words a day) a magnet for relevant thoughts develops.

Recently a Liverpool student of American media studies applied for 600 jobs and received only one interview which he failed. He decided to write a novel. He determined to complete ten pages a day. He worked in the evenings at a dead end job to make money and then wrote until about 5 in the morning at his novel which has now become famous. It also looks like becoming a Hollywood blockbuster film.

He points out that if you write only one page a day for 100 days you can write a screen play. He wrote his novel by studying the structure of two other novels and noticing how they were structured and wrote his screenplay after studying video of films and noticing how long each scene lasted before there was a change.

I can’t remember his name or the name of his book as I just happened to hear part of his interview on television.

The practice of daily disciplines alone can change our lives totally. Another benefit of daily disciplines is that they quickly create habits and habits create character.

A great quote by Jim Ryun, the American Athlete, is as follows

“Motivation is what gets you started.
Habit is what keeps you going”

Another brilliant quote is:

“Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value.”

Albert Einstein

The next quote says more or less the same thing:

“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.” Henry David Thoreau

Many would argue that success is not about making money but about developing oneself into a person who is valuable to others.

However, this quite often will lead to making money because people will pay for value. Any one who is very good at their job can usually command whatever pay they wish.

Adam Hollioake is one of the most successful English county cricket captains. He realised what is important in life when his brother Ben was killed in a car accident in Perth Australia. Adam learned that he should be kind to people and have fun and “that’s what life is about.”

His view of success in cricket is not necessarily winning. He is not afraid to lose a cricket match. He is only concerned that his team put 100% effort into the game. He comments:

“If we do put that effort in we usually win anyway”.

Success then is putting in 100% effort whatever the results. More often than not, however, the results will be excellent.

Michael Angier has a great definition of success.

“Success is the result of steadily taking action on our most important goals. When we consistently focus our energies and our efforts upon what matters most, we can’t help but be successful”.

Angier also admires Ralph Waldo Emerson’s comments on success:

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; this is to have succeeded.”

What are the causes of failure and success?

William James, the great American psychologist, puts failure down to lack of faith in one self

“There is but one cause of human failure. And that is man’s lack of faith in his true self.”

Faith in one self is a huge part of success. Stuart Goldsmith in “The Midas Method” talks about two kinds of belief that are necessary for success. You must believe that you deserve to succeed and you must believe that you have the ability to succeed.

Another big cause of success is discipline.

“The ability to discipline yourself to delay gratification in the short term in order to enjoy greater rewards in the long term is the indispensable prerequisite for success.” Brian Tracy

Another cause is the willingness to try to succeed even if the possiblity of success is remote.

“Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead.”

Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) American Writer

Is there really a “secret” to achieving prosperity, money and success? Do the suggestions and ideas in books like Think and Grow Rich, The Law of Attraction and The Strangest Secret really work?

A vast majority of the world believes you are either lucky and get all the breaks or you are destined to be one of the unfortunate ones that works twice as hard to get half as much.

According to Earl Nightingale, “Success is simply a matter of luck. Ask any failure.” One could ask the same question about using Feng Shui to better your life. If specific principles of Feng Shui are used to enhance the positive energy in the prosperity and good fortune areas of your office or your home, can you become one of the “lucky ones” and attract or create your own prosperity?

Attracting Prosperity is like winning a Lottery Ticket

Yes, the information in the books above and the principles of Feng Shui work and work equally well for everyone if applied equally and properly. Ancient Chinese Emperors used Feng Shui principles to successfully attract and influence good fortune and prosperity for their family’s next seven generations. You can also energize the prosperity and good fortune sectors of your home and office to attract prosperity as the ancient Chinese rulers did. My good friend Anna Marie Prezio will attest to this.

However, it doesn’t just happen because you want it to happen. You need to think about what to attract and how to achieve the prosperity you want – then take action. The real secret is you need to not only determine what you want and focus on attracting it but take the steps necessary to make it happen. For example, if you want to win the next multi-million dollar lottery, at minimum, you need to take action and go out and buy a lottery ticket, find one or have someone give you a lottery ticket.

The Action Plan

When things never seem to turn out right, always seem to go wrong at the worst possible moment; you never get the job, the girl, the guy, the promotion, or are in the right place at the right time; take action and use the law of attraction and the positive energy principles of Feng Shui to create a good luck and prosperity energy shift in your world.

Step 1- Unclutter, unclutter, unclutter. Locate the southeast and south areas of your office and/or living room and begin there. Make sure there is absolutely no clutter in this area or you will focus energy on the clutter and simply attract more clutter and stagnation. When it comes to the flow of energy, clutter and stagnation become energy constipation in your surroundings. You need to make room for the new prosperity energy to enter. If you had a stale half full cold cup of coffee would you simply add fresh hot coffee to it? No, most people would remove the stale coffee first to make room for that fresh new hot coffee.

Once you have removed the clutter in these areas, do not simply shove it elsewhere and create stagnant energy in some other part of your life perhaps creating havoc with your health, creativity or relationships. Rather, put it properly away, sort it, organize it, store or file it and toss anything that is no longer relevant or important.

Step 2 – Focus positive energy on prosperity and good fortune. In order to focus energy on creating prosperity and good fortune you need to determine what you want to achieve or attract. Set your goals first, create a plan and take action. Then focus energy on attracting your end results by using color shape and design.

Good fortune and prosperity energy can be enhanced in a number of ways. Prosperity is energized by the color green, live upward reaching plants, the number four, tall rectangular shapes and wood. Good fortune is energized by the color red, fire energy, tall triangular shapes and the number nine. Some examples of “good luck” prosperity energy enhancements are:

Southeast

A wooden upright rectangular box filled with 7 coins (the new US gold colored dollar coin works great or a Susan B. Anthony coin)
Upward reaching fresh or good quality permanent green plants
A wooden framed picture of a huge contract or payment for services or goods
South

A glass vase filled with nine tall red flowers like gladiolas
A variety of tall red candles in varying sizes and shapes
A predominantly red picture or jagged mountains (triangles) framed in red
A wooden number nine painted red

Use your imagination when energizing prosperity and luck using the guidelines above. Follow this procedure in your home and at work.

Step 3 – Change your thinking. Unclutter your mind just like you uncluttered your office and home. Remove any thoughts from the past and present that will stand in your way to attracting and achieving your goals. If someone told you years ago “you will never amount to anything,” get rid of it. This is an example of old stagnant constipating thought energy and blocks new things from entering.

Whenever negative thinking creeps into your mind say to yourself, “I have shifted my thinking to attract and achieve prosperity and good luck, old rules and old thoughts no longer apply, be gone.” The more often you take control, the less your mind will recycle negative thinking and the sooner you will be able to attract and achieve prosperity and good fortune.

The secret of attracting prosperity and good luck using the law of attraction and Feng Shui principles is that it works whether you believe in it or not. It is like the air currents flowing and wind blowing – you cannot see this energy, only feel it. The same is true for campfire heat. You do not have to see the flame or the glowing embers to feel the warming energy of the fire. But you do need a tangible goal and then take action to be successful attracting and achieving your prosperity and good fortune.

You can become and accomplish anything in life! Your successes, greatness, and potential are determined by you alone; and all of the characteristics necessary to achieve your goals and dreams already lie within you. Our success and potential is not determined by talent or ability, knowledge or money, race or gender, or even circumstance or setting – it is created, developed, and determined from within ourselves. Our dreams and goals will be achieved only when we understand and implement the fundamental laws and secrets for success.

Below is outlined the formula or secret to success; and yet, it is no secret at all because these laws of success have been understood and implemented by all the great philosophers, artists, religious leaders, military commanders, and political leaders of every age. It is these same principles that reveal and explain why today’s greatest athletes, performers, businessmen, scientists, and politicians have achieved and become what they have. Understand, however, that these laws are simple in theory, and yet extremely difficult in practicality. Far too often people mistakenly disregard the basic simplicity of these attributes and practices and wrongfully assume that the ‘how-to’ advice from books, seminars, and even mentors will reveal and teach them the necessary knowledge and specifics of how to be successful. And yet, even an understanding of and belief in these principles is not enough; success will only be accomplished and dreams can only be achieved when knowledge of these laws is combined with persistent action and daily implementation.

These secrets for success apply to everyone, and to any goal, dream, or success!

1) Put God & Family First: Regardless of what your dreams and goals are, never forget what success in life is all about. True success is not realized in the accomplishment of the goal, but in the person we become along the journey towards the goal. If in pursuit of our dream we fail to put God first, and do not make time for family, then all other successes will be failures. And when all is said and done, dealing with the disappointment of certain failures will be far easier than dealing with the disappointment that accompanies some successes because they were not the right successes. Putting God and family first will not only eventuate into the ‘real’ successes of life, but ironically, having these as your priorities will actually contribute to and be the reason for all other successes you achieve.

2) Desire Success: A strong desire to achieve a goal or dream is the fundamental starting point for all successes and accomplishments in life. Do not be confused however, because desire is not the same thing as hope, wish, or interest. Desire is synonymous with motivation, commitment, determination, and a willingness to do whatever is necessary to accomplish the goal or dream.

3) Dream Big, Think Big, & Think Differently: You may have a desire, but do you actually have a dream or a goal? Do you fall victim to the dominating culture of mediocrity and feel limited by circumstance, or do you actually think big and dream big? Until you do, average you will remain. We literally are what we think – so think big to be big! And be forewarned that when you find yourself thinking, speaking, and acting like the majority (in regards to dreams, goals, and ‘success’ in life) – you are in terrible company. Dare to dream. Dare to be and think different. And think big always. Then, with enough mental conditioning, belief, and persistent action, your dreams and big thinking will translate into actions that eventuate into big results.

4) Believe in Yourself & Believe Your Dreams Are Possible: We can become and accomplish anything! And yet, nothing great has ever been accomplished until there was first belief in self – and then faith and belief that the idea, goal, or dream was possible. We each spend too much time focusing on our own weaknesses and failures, the lack of knowledge or money, fears and doubts, the abilities and talents of others, or on limitations and circumstances that really only exist in our own minds. Our potential is actually what frightens us; and more often than not, mediocrity and being average is desirable because it justifies us not having to put in the work necessary to be successful. Truthfully, the heart of the problem and the number one reason why most people fail to accomplish their dreams, goals, and potential in life is a lack of belief in themselves and their dreams.

5) Eliminate the Voices of Fear & Doubt … Continually: The only limitations in life are the ones we create, believe, and nourish within our own minds. People everywhere have great ideas, reachable dreams, and unlimited potential, but they spend too much time listening to the voices of fear, doubt, and failure that they never take action. Fear and doubt are unnecessary worry and evidence of a lack of self-confidence. They demonstrate one’s inability to control their thoughts and are the underlying reason for most failures. Fear and doubt breed inaction and procrastination, and ironically, these common thoughts are found in everyone. Thankfully, fear and doubt can be controlled and overcome by anyone – but this requires consistent daily effort because these voices never go away. We must discipline our thoughts constantly and remove from our vocabulary such words as: can’t, quit, unable, impossible, etc. Living our dreams requires killing our fears and doubts.

6) Completely Commit & Be Totally Determined: Most times, success results not from one’s ability or talent, knowledge or money, or even circumstance or luck; it comes from their zeal, drive, and determination to reach a goal or dream. The journey to success will inevitably be difficult, and it is in these trying moments that desire and belief are not enough; it is only a complete commitment and a determination to do whatever is takes to be successful that will get you through when fears and doubts come, failures arise, an easier path is presented, or others mock. When you completely commit to your goal and the accomplishment of your dream, you accept no excuses, you get up after temporary failures, and you persist in action until your desire and dream have been achieved.

7) Establish an Organized Plan & Goals: A cheap pen is perhaps just as important as a big dream! If our ideas, goals, and dreams are not written down, reviewed often, and specifically organized, then we risk becoming like the majority of dreamers who later in their life look back at missed opportunities and failed potential and regretfully say “I wish I would have.” Our plan and goals must not only be written but also reviewed often, revised occasionally, and be totally committed to. Specific, measurable, reachable and challenging actions must also accompany the goals; but never forget that the long term plan will win despite the short term failures. Challenges, obstacles, and failures are those things that only become reality when we take our focus off our goals. And while our goals literally can be achieved, remember that when setting and seeking to achieve our goals, it is better to aim high and miss than to actually aim low and achieve.

Take Action Now & Work Hard: Opportunities in life always come before we are prepared and are gone before we realize it. Success comes, dreams are realized, and potential is reached only by those who have the faith to take a risk and are willing to act. In fact, our dreams, ideas, goals, and even desires and beliefs are nothing unless followed by action. So, make a decision and do it now – regardless of whether you have the time, feel unprepared, or lack knowledge. You may not know what you are doing at first – but the key is to keep doing. Stephen King said it perfectly when he said: “what separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” Mistakes will be made, but ensure they are not mistakes of idleness, inability to decide, and unwillingness to act.

9) Learn From & Get Up After Failures: For whatever reason, in the moment of failure, we often wrongfully assume that we personally are failures, and we thus quit. Failure is not a person; it is an event that is absolutely necessary to achieve success. Failures are detours, not dead-end streets. And when such discouraging streets come, as they inevitably will, we should view them as roadblocks that cause others to quit and us to try harder. Has history itself not taught us this important lesson – from the American Revolutionary War to every World War, from the Mahatma Gandhi’s to the Martin Luther King’s, from the Abraham Lincoln’s to the Nelson Mandela’s, to even Thomas Edison whose invention still gives light to the entire globe, despite the fact that it took thousands of failures to achieve the success. The greatest athletes and performers, the brightest scientists and inventors, the most successful politicians and parents are those who experienced discouraging set backs, disappointments, and even failures before they ever succeeded. Refusing to quit or be discouraged was the secret to their incredible achievements.

10) Persist Always & Never Quit: Successful people make mistakes and experience failure, but they do not give excuses and absolutely never quit. Thomas Edison, of all people, had every right to say that “many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” Goals and dreams are accomplished, success is achieved, and our full potential is realized only after consistent daily effort and work over a long period of time. Persist and persevere until you succeed, and determine right now that you will never quit, regardless of what happens along the journey.

You can become and accomplish anything – and the formula above is the law for success to achieve your goals and dreams in life. However, in pursuit of your dreams, you must ensure that the priorities of life are not jeopardized and the necessary characteristics that determine true success are developed. Real success in life is not necessarily in the accomplishment of the goal or dream, it is determined by who we eventually become, the attributes we develop, and the people we help along the way. We need to give when we receive, put God and family first, and realize that developing a character of integrity, values, and unselfishness are why we are here; and thankfully, when these same attributes are combined with the laws of success, we will accomplish our goals and dreams and experience true success in life.

If you are like most people, you tend to judge your success by comparing yourself and your situation to other people, usually within your inner circle of friends and acquaintances. You have more than this person, but less than that person, and so on. This “keeping up with the Jones’s” mentality leads to nothing but more stress and less contentment. More importantly, it does not increase your chance at attaining true success.

Success is not about having more than someone else or being better than someone else, true success comes from having more than YOU had and being better than YOU were. If you measure your success on whether or not you have a better situation (according to you) than other people that you know then sooner or later you will have a rude awakening. The most accurate measure of success is not in relation to someone else but in relation to you. Are you in better shape this year than last? Is your financial situation better this year than last? Are you spending more time with your loved ones, or less? Are you becoming a better father, son, sister, brother, friend or employee? Are you giving more of yourself than you used to? As long as you are constantly improving based on your own definitions and values, then you are a success.

There are those self help guru’s that preach the message of freeing oneself from all material things. That the pursuit of money and luxuries will lead to our ultimate demise and that we should only be concerned with our spirit and inner peace. I’m not one of them. I do however believe that it is misguided to base success solely on material things. The same goes if you measure your success based on any one factor. True success is based on balance. Balance is the key to success. If you have a billion dollars but no one to share your life with, are you successful? If you have loving relationships, but can’t clothe your children, are you successful? If you have a great career, but no time to enjoy the benefits of your hard work, are you successful? If you have money, a great career, close relationships, but are in poor health are you successful? True success is having a life of balance based on what you define as being most important to you. Look at all aspects of your life and find the balance that works for you. Balance doesn’t mean that you must have equal amounts of each of the factors. You may put a greater importance on your health and personal relationships than on finances and leisure time or you may put a greater importance on giving back to your community than on making a buck, or you may put a greater importance on financial abundance because you feel that you will be able to give more if you have more. That’s for you to decide.

Having said that I believe there are six areas that we need to balance in order to feel truly successful. These are (in no particular order).

Finances/Career
Relationships
Health & Fitness
Leisure time
Personal growth
Giving back

Each of these six areas needs to be accounted for in our experience of life. Take each of these areas and decide what your success formula looks like based on your values and desires. Give each area a weight, a percentage of importance. The percentages should add up to a hundred when you’re finished. This is your balance, your success formula; this is what a successful life means to you. Look at it as your recipe for success.

For example,

Finances/Career 15%

Relationships 20%

Health & Fitness 25%

Leisure time 15%

Personal growth 15%

Giving back 10%

                         ____

                         100%

In the above example, which is hypothetical and for illustration purposes only, 100% success is achieved by the realization of each and all of these factors and in accordance with this balance or weighing of each factor. The maximum success level which can be achieved without strong relationships is 80%. The maximum success level which can be achieved without personal growth is 85%, and so on. If this hypothetical person was putting all there success eggs in the finance basket, even if they achieved financial abundance, at the end of the day would still only be 15% successful. These are the people who are sitting in their beautiful homes, driving there fancy cars and wondering why they feel empty and unfulfilled. The reason is that they don’t have enough ingredients in their success recipe…they don’t have balance.

The Definition of Real Success in Life

Your success in life is not determined by the education obtained, institutions attended, career accomplishments, awards won, or the wealth you acquire. Real success in life is solely determined on who you become, the character and attributes you develop, the people you help, and whether or not at the end of the day you were true to the most important priorities in life – namely: Your Convictions & Your Family.

And yet our culture and society certainly do not proclaim that same message. From the media to our educational system, from our co-workers to our neighbors, and even from our peers to our own family members, the unfortunate message that most often gets communicated is that our inner character is secondary (if even considered) to the tangible accomplishments and material possessions we obtain when determining our success in life.

However, we should never assume that because developing the inner character is far more important when all is said and done, that somehow that encourages or justifies us in not pursuing these other – good – worldly successes. Part of the definition of ‘real success’ is becoming great, achieving things, and accomplishing success in many areas of life. We must live up to our potential mentally, emotionally, physically, socially, financially, intellectually, and especially spiritually – all areas of our life are important.

And yet, while each of the mentioned areas of life are important, they are not equally important. All of the wealth, fame, power, credentials, and awards we obtain in life will certainly never be equal to or compensate for the success we achieve with the character of our souls and within the walls of our own home. In fact, if we have to fail in some of these other pursuits to achieve the most important successes, we thankfully will not be like most people on their death beds who unfortunately utter the sad words of: “I wish I had spent more time with my family.” Thus, dealing with the disappointment of certain failures will be far easier than dealing with the disappointment that accompanies some successes because they were not the right successes.

Considering the truth of this definition of ‘real’ success, perhaps the most important thing to realize and seek to avoid is that we often actually pursue this ‘real’ success, but justify putting it off temporarily in order to achieve the other successes which supposedly will create the time, money, and ability to accomplish these ‘real’ successes. To illustrate this point, how many of us have fallen victim to the myth and misconception that the next promotion, pay raise, current challenge overcome, or future event will be the answer to our problem and lead us to this success? How often do we wait for future events to come and heal our present problems – and when they do come, those events actually become the present problems and we go on waiting for future remedies?

Be wise enough to understand now that the next promotion and pay raise will never solve the problem, nor will it lead to ‘real’ success. The definition of ‘promotion’ is: more responsibility, work, and time at the office. The definition of a ‘pay raise’ is: as income increases, so do expenses. Also, once your current challenge is overcome, inevitably life has a way of bringing another one around the next bend. Never fall victim to the mentality that pursuing and achieving these other successes while neglecting the very things that determine ‘real’ success will eventuate as you planned (even if you initially intend to put off the ‘real’ successes just temporarily).

Thus, live and prioritize now! Pursue these other wonderful life successes, but never at the cost of the ‘real’ successes. And most importantly, despite what our culture engrains into our minds, always remember the definition of what ‘real’ success is – it is not determined by the institutions attended, education obtained, career accomplishments, promotions or pay raises, titles held or awards won, credentials or certificates, or the wealth you acquire. The ‘real’ success in life is solely determined by who you become, the character and attributes you develop, the people you help, and whether or not at the end of the day you were true to the most important priorities in life – yes – Your Convictions & Your Family!

The Most Powerful Success Formula
Success is on everyone’s mind whether he is rich or poor, highly educated or uneducated, civilized or uncivilized, living in big commercial cities or in remote areas. More than 6 million people go to google search every month to find the success related information.

What is Success?

To me, success is a way of life. It’s in your mind, body and soul. Success is your second skin. If you wear success (decent clothes), eat success (healthy food), think success (positive thoughts), talk success (productive conversation), dream success (goal setting), smell success (the perfume of your hard work) and feel success (in whatever you do) then, I am sure, YOU DESERVE SUCCESS. Success is not something that you are running after. Let the spirit of success chase you everywhere, day and night.

Success is often misunderstood and defined as something that is related to money or accumulation of wealth. It is true that money gives you the luxuries of life but not the joy and happiness of a successful living. Success is much more than money. It’s the ocean of your personality where dozens of colorful boats and yachts of happiness sail and shine in the bright sunlight.

In order to live a happy and more fulfilling life, you need success to surround you in every sphere of your life such as:

Success in business or at job
Success in handling financial matters
Success in dealing with people
Success in relationships
Success in raising children
Success in keeping good health
Success in losing weight
Success in crafting your personality
Success in learning technical or other skills
Success in overcoming personal problems
Success in over overcoming grief etc.

I now want to tell you a very simple but most powerful formula of success. This success formula is so simple that it consists of only two questions. Every morning, ask yourself: “How I am going to spend this day!” And every night before going to bed ask yourself: “How did I spend the day!” That’s all!

Every morning, before going to your work place, ask yourself: “How I am going to spend this day?” What a wonderful question! You are going to tell yourself that you have some agenda to work on. You have targets to achieve, dreams to fulfill and goals to reach. You have no time to waste because you are on the road to success and no one should stop you in the middle of the road.

Every night, before going to bed, ask yourself: “How did I spend the day!” This question will enable you to critically analyze your whole day’s activities. If you had wasted your time in unproductive activities then you will feel sorry for that and will surely make a strong pledge with yourself that you will no more waste your time. The next morning you will plan your day in a different way, keeping in view your own (success) priorities. You will feel more confident and more energetic to work on big projects. Your output will increase manyfolds and so your chances of success.

Work on this formula for a few days and forget about success because success will automatically follow you. Smile and be happy. Good luck to you.

Living A Richer Life With Prosperity Affirmations

Here are key actions to get boundless wealth into ones life. Recognize what your core needs are. This is where one should really take time to get to know oneself. Use reflective time and prosperity affirmations to help clarify what is really important to you and why. Identifying what you want is halfway to actually getting it.

Know any hindrance to your success. As you speak your prosperity affirmations, or when you worry about finances, it is possible that you experience negativity. If you mention something positive, but deep inside you’re thinking something negative then you know that there is an issue there that needs further attention. Once personal hindrance have been identified, spend time reflecting on your own beliefs and experiences around it, try to identify things that influences you. Ask yourself if these values are really right for you. When you are prepared, use prosperity affirmations and just let go those negative thoughts.

If you have recognized a grave hindrance that has a strong impact on you or is based on previous traumatic experience, it would be best to seek a trained professional to help you through so that you can find release from your ill-fortuned past and have the ability to move on to prosperity. Though prosperity affirmations identify your true beliefs about wealth, these beliefs usually, but not always, come from when you are young. Reflect about the things your elders taught you about wealth when you were growing up. What are your feelings towards money? Write everything down. Re-examine these values and determine if they are still true for you now. If they are not, reflect on this value and replace it with positive and prosperous thought.

Remember everything you say and think about when you say your prosperity affirmation. Be wary of words and thoughts. Always keep them positive. Admit and let go of any negativity that may come up.

Be very honest. What ever you take from life, life will take from you. Always avoid any kind of dishonesty. This, in truth, is quite hard because it doesn’t just mean the obvious things, but also the little things like stealing supplies from the office. This includes stealing time or respect from other people. All of these count. It’s like saying “I don’t deserve a goodlife, so I’ll go around and take it from others”. These are not what you get from prosperity affirmation.

Be grateful. To achieve prosperity you must release negative thinking. Look around you and see both big and small things to be grateful for. This may be people you care for or little things that put joy in your heart. Most would say it’s their family. Life is full of wealth, but sadly we often choose to pay no heed to it. You can never draw abundance in life if you do not appreciate what you already have. So every day, put enough time aside to think about all the things you want and be grateful for all the good things you already have in life. Do this prosperity affirmation by cherishing and focusing on all the good things you have. Prosperity affirmation will lead to more things coming into your life. Simple and true.
