When you set your goals of success, you must make sure that you are clear in your definition of where you want to be when you’ve
reached the end of your journey to success before you take on another journey to success. You may find that your path will change in order to overcome the obstacles in your path, but you must remain focused on the end result.
You accomplish this by setting clear goals and following through with the tenacity of a bulldog. You keep focused and continue to persist even when the odds are stacked against you. Nothing in your actions should indicate anything but the absolute certainty that you will get around the necessary obstacles in your path any way you can to reach your final goal.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent
will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will
not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination
alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will
solve the problems of the human race.”
—Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933)
